Mayor Bowser and DPR have partnered with Medium Rare restaurant owner, Mark Bucher, to launch the Feed the Fridge program at select DPR facilities across the District.
Feed the Fridge provides various recreation centers across the District with refrigerators, packed with restaurant-quality meals, wrapped, labeled and ready to serve for residents in need.
All you have to do is grab and go at a participating location.Â
No application.
No income requirements.
No ID needed.Â
DPR supervises many of the District's recreation/community centers, parks, athletic fields, playgrounds, spray parks, tennis courts, community gardens, dog parks, aquatic facilities and features.
DPR also coordinates a wide variety of recreation programs including sports leagues, youth development, therapeutic recreation, aquatic programming, outdoor adventure, camping, and senior activities.Â
